Maintenance
Programs
We offer a scheduled maintenance program to pond owners for the entire pond season (March – November). If you want your
pond to stay in tip-top shape all season long and do not always have the time to check on filters,
trim back and fertilize plants, and care for the pond, then have us do it for you! We
will visit your pond once a month and work to keep your pond looking
its absolute best the entire season.
We offer the following Pond Maintenance Programs:
Each Maintenance Program
visit includes the following services:
- Clean skimmers and skimmer filter pads
- Clean external filters and filter pads
- Inspect and Clean pumps
- Trim and cleanup aquatic plants
- Check pond water level and add additional water and
dechlorinator to pond, if necessary
- Add beneficial bacteria (Microbe-Lift or Aquaclearer)
to pond and filtration media areas
- Add "fish
safe" algae removing treatments, if required
- Remove any observed string algae
- Winter Pond Shutdown (in November)
- Inspect the health and quantity of tropical floating
plants and underwater oxygenator plants to ensure that the appropriate
quantities of each are present. Remember, you will want to keep a good amount of
both of these types of aquatic plants in your pond to keep the oxygen levels
healthy and the amount of pond surface area exposed to direct sunlight
minimized. Depending on your contract, these plants can be added by us at the
time of the visit with the cost of the plants added to the monthly bill or we
can simply note our findings on the maintenance report we will leave with you
after each visit. You can decide in advance which method you would prefer to
have us follow.
Cost:
- Small Ponds (Pond SA less than 100 sq ft) = $75 monthly
- Medium Ponds (Pond SA up to 400 sq ft) = $125 per month
- Large Ponds (Pond SA greater than 400 sq ft) – Please call
for an on-site estimate
